2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival
September 11, 2026 - October 31, 2026Overview
The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is a night garden festival held in and around Yeomun Culture Street and Yeoseo Migwan Square in Yeosu. The festival theme is “Yeosu’s Night Garden Embracing the Islands,” and it will run for a total of 51 days from September 11 to October 31, 2026. The festival aims to make use of the spatial characteristics of the old downtown area through content that connects gardens with nighttime scenery, while providing residents and tourists with opportunities to enjoy garden culture. Approximately 40 gardens—including signature gardens, artist gardens, and citizen-participation gardens—will be created at the festival site. Through a variety of plants and scenic installations, the site will be operated as a space that can be enjoyed both during the day and at night. At night, lighting displays will highlight the garden scenery and create a viewing environment connected to Yeosu’s nighttime tourism resources. Throughout the festival, a range of content will be offered, including garden interpretation programs, cultural performances, hands-on programs, and citizen-participation programs. Programs linked to local commercial areas and tourism resources will also be presented. The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is designed to promote garden culture and revitalize the old downtown area while establishing a foundation for Yeosu as a garden city. Through a garden festival that residents and tourists can enjoy and participate in together, it aims to promote the sustainable spread of garden culture by utilizing the region’s cultural and tourism resources.
