*The festival information below is from the 2025 festival, and information for the 2026 festival is currently being updated.* The Gimhae Buncheong Ceramics Festival is a representative ceramics festival held in Gimhae, the birthplace of buncheong ware from the early Joseon period. It has established itself as a cultural and artistic venue where tradition and modernity come together. Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the Gimhae Buncheong Ceramics Festival offers a variety of programs under the slogan “Buncheong Through Time, Meeting Sejong,” allowing visitors to experience and enjoy the artistry and practicality of Gimhae buncheong ceramics firsthand. The festival has been designed as an interactive event where visitors can see, feel, and participate in a range of activities, including exhibitions of works by master potters, pottery-making and traditional kiln experiences, and creative exhibitions that combine contemporary ceramics with other art forms. With hands-on programs for children and families, the festival will be enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age or gender. As a meaningful cultural event that showcases the beauty and spirit of buncheong ware preserved by Gimhae to the world, the Gimhae Buncheong Ceramics Festival will serve as a valuable venue for preserving the traditions of ceramic culture and opening up new possibilities in ceramic art.

- 30th Anniversary Events: Opening performance led by ceramic artists, 30 Years of Memories exhibition hall - Special Exhibitions: Special exhibition of ‘Sejong’ placenta jars, Buncheong Ceramics Zone, and national competition exhibitions (Ceramics Grand Exhibition, Tea Bowls) - Hands-on Activities: Todugi ceramic decorating, tea bowl making, five-senses ceramic experience, pottery wheel experience, excavation experience, and more - Other Activities: Four-cut photo booth (I’m a Ceramic Artist), AR stamp tour, mini train (shuttle bus), and tea ceremony picnic - Competitions and Demonstrations: Family Ceramic-Making Contest, Family Clay-Stacking Contest, public ceramic auction, and large-scale ceramic-making demonstration - Performances: Joseon Traveling Troupe and busking performances - Food: Restaurant operated by the local women’s association, local representative restaurants, and food trucks
